Hellenic Places: Hydra, Δημήτρης Κούσανδας – 15’ (Ελλάδα)
Hydra is an animated documentary that takes you to a journey through time. From the Neolithic period and the first people that established settlements there to the growth and wealth it slowly established as well as it’s independence in a period of Ottoman occupation to the more contemporary ages where was shaped and became known for its bohemian identity through various celebrities and artists that left their imprint.
Η Μητέρα μου, η Θάλασσα, Ασπασίας Καζέλη – 6’ (Εσθονία)
η μητέρα μου, η θάλασσα” (“my mother, the sea”) is a short animated film, which explores and symbolically expresses my grieving process for my mother’s loss, from her passing until today.
This three year journey is captured allegorically in this film as a weaving of two parallel paths; the mother’s journey to the afterlife and the parallel grieving states of her child.
From the last breath, to the mourning and the only temporal salvation from it. It is an observation of her transition, which her child follows with its personal emotional dissolve.

An episodic, animated biopic of Kafka, inspired by rumours of his collection of pornography. He writes – masturbates – dies. And within him we discover ourselves.

Through a child’s imagination it tells the journey of a man who after falling prey to his fears, he must cross a strange world, a universe full of magic, where he will be confronted with his own fears and conflicts from the past and where he must find solutions for the future to discover his self-identity.
Coin Coin, Solenn LELAISANT | Jeanne MAROTTE et al. – 6’ (Γαλλία)
Two best friends, a duck and a rabbit, play together at the park when a cool cat appears with a gameboy, leading the curious rabbit to leave their best friend alone.

Our team follows the young commander Childeric the day before a determining attack. Childeric shows us the daily life of medieval knights getting ready for battle.
